(2021-2022)
Dear loving Sponsors,
Cordial greetings and prayerful wishes from Marsal Sadan!
Indeed we are so much grateful to you for the continuous support and encouragement that you have rendered during the academic year of 2021-22 for the holistic growth of our tribal hostel children. Indeed I am very delighted to write down about the performance of St. Claret Hostels, Sahanagar.
Introduction
“CHILDREN ARE ALWAYS THE ONLY FUTURE THE HUMAN RACE HAS”
Every new born baby is a blessing and a clear cut sign that God still loves the human race, but the reciprocity of this love has to be seen in each of us by loving, caring, educating and helping the children of God. Santhals in this area need special attention because; the lack of education has made them the most neglected community in this society. Mostly they are uneducated and daily labors therefore, they find difficult to educate their children. Santhals are culturally, physically and emotionally very strong comparing to other community. Unfortunately, they are paralyzed by their poor education and economical condition. As a result, they are not able to come up in the lives and so considered to be the most neglected group in the society.
At present, they try harder to educate their children but their poor economical conditions fail their efforts and desires. Therefore, to encourage and empower this section of santhal people, St. Claret Hotel, Sahanagar was started since. The unique purpose of the hostel is to bring social change in the Santhal tribal through qualitative English Education and holistic formation. Thus hostel provides the Santhal Children not only proper education but also motivates them in all ways possible. There are two hostels in the campus. It is functioning under the guidance of Fr. Alex Marandi CMF and the superior of the mission and the hostel in charge. We also have four priests and brothers who render their service in various ways to form the children.
